Hello! Welcome to the Hale Gamgyul Jeombang Hyubdongjohap. We mainly offer experiences in making Sangwe bread, a local food in Jeju, and sell various Sangwe bread and shindari.
Sangwe bread is a type of bread made by adapting Sangwe rice cakes, which were traditionally offered at ceremonies in Jeju. Sangwe rice cakes originated from the Mongolian rule of Jeju during the Goryeo Dynasty, where they were made using fermented rice. Additionally, shindari is a traditional low-alcohol drink made with fermented rice, popular among travelers and operated by local women’s cooperatives.
Our Gamgyul Jeombang Hyubdongjohap greets guests warmly and introduces them to Jeju’s traditional food and culture. We are delighted to create unforgettable experiences with you, so please feel free to visit us anytime. Thank you!
